Privacy
The short version: we collect an email address if you give us one, we count clicks so we know which pieces are useful, and we do not track you anywhere else.
What we collect
If you sign up for the weekly edit, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and whether you have confirmed it. We also keep anonymous product-view and retailer-click records. We do not ask for your name, location, or any other personal detail.
Confirming your address
Signing up sends one email asking you to confirm. Until you tap the link in it, we send you nothing else — an address that never confirms never hears from us again. The links in that email work only for your address and are stored one-way, so nobody reading our database can use them.
How we use it
Your email is used to send the weekly edit and nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber lists with anyone, including the retailers we cover. Our email is delivered by Resend, which handles the address on our behalf and for no other purpose.
Clicks and analytics
When you view an item or click through to a retailer we record the item, the section that led to it, whether it needs layering, and when the interaction happened. This is aggregate — it is not tied to your email address or to any profile of you. We use privacy-preserving site analytics that set no advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites.
Reporting a listing
If you tell us something is wrong with a piece, we store what you picked, the note you chose to add, and the item it was about. So the same report doesn't arrive twice we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address mixed with the item and a salt that changes daily — it cannot be turned back into your address, cannot be linked to anything else here, and stops being comparable the next day. We do not store your IP address itself.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links may be affiliate links, which means the retailer can tell that a visit came from us and may pay us a commission on a resulting sale. The retailer's own privacy policy governs what happens once you land on their site.
Leaving the list
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and one tap is all it takes — your mail app can also do it for you without opening the email. We keep the address on record as unsubscribed so we do not write to it again. Ask us and we will delete it entirely.
